I am so excited and delighted by all the messages coming through for 30 day challenge. THANK YOU.
Seems like eating well, exercising and meditating is the order of the day, along with organisation and proactivity when it comes to work/finding new work. We’re all the same really, aren’t we?
A couple of things I’ve noticed both in myself and in other people’s comments – the tendency to want to fix everything at once (yoga, diet, work etc) followed by the tendency to beat ourselves up for how little we’ve been doing in those areas up till now.
I think we have to let ‘I’m such a failure’ stuff go if we want to improve. Beating ourselves up for what we’ve done (or not done) up till now is not exactly great energy with which to make changes. So let’s try to be positive about it and support each other too. Says the queen of self-flagellation.
Speaking of which, I’ve had a few messages through in the last couple of weeks from people who say they’ve been reading the blog right from the beginning and they’re only just getting the ‘courage’ to get in touch now.
It’s funny that it should take courage to email somebody but I know it does. We assume that other people are too busy or important to bother with ‘boring’ us and so we don’t reach out. (I can’t believe I’ve used the phrase reach out. Oh well.)
But every time I get a message from somebody who says they’re enjoying the blog, I am blown away. I am so grateful that people read at all and I am even more grateful when people say that what I’m doing is helping them because it makes me feel less like a self-indulgent, narcissistic twat.
So please keep in touch and get involved (only if you want to, of course). It goes back to something that Susan Jeffers said, right at the beginning in my Feel the Fear and Do it Anyway month. She says that we should ‘act as if you really count’. She’s right. Most of us think that we don’t count, so we don’t bother people, don’t make a fuss, don’t draw attention to ourselves but you do count, to me anyway. So thank you.
Now let’s get irritatingly perfect together.
PS I’M GOING TO TRY TO GET HIP AND DOWN WITH INSTAGRAM, SO I’LL BE POSTING PICTURES OF ME IN MY TRAINERS TAKING WALKS, ME DRINKING WATER & ME DOING OTHER 30 DAY CHALLENGE STUFF. YUP, IT’S GOING TO BE FASCINATING. KIM K WATCH OUT. XX
