Let’s do it!!

Screen Shot 2014-10-31 at 11.38.23So are you ready to become HIGHLY EFFECTIVE GREEN JUICE DRINKING, YOGA PRACTICING, JOB APPLYING EFFECTIVE PEOPLE?!

Me too. Perfection here we come. Let’s become so unbearably smug the world can’t stand us.

I already got started on the no booze thing – no red wine for a whole week! Woohoo! I’ve missed it a bit but it hasn’t been too bad actually. Although I’m now going to my friend’s house for dinner and I know that I’ll really really want a big old glass of something. Oh well, I’ll survive.

As I said, I’ll be checking in regularly, to confirm that I’ve done my challenges for the day and please feel free to do the same. Make the comments box your new second home.

A reminder from me, to myself really, my commitments are:

NO BOOZE FOR THE NEXT 30 DAYS
EXERCISE HALF AN HOUR EVERY DAY
MEDITATE ONCE A DAY
CHECK THE BANK BALANCES EVERY DAY
PLAN WHAT I’M DOING THE NEXT DAY BEFORE I GO TO BED

YOUR 30 DAY CHALLENGE

If you want to add your commitments at the bottom of this post please do – say now or forever hold your peace! For anyone who has missed details of MOVEMENT THAT’S SWEEPING THE WORLD the idea is that we’re all taking on some of the small things we CAN do to improve our lives over the next 30 days, whether it’s eating more vegetables, checking our bank balances, walking around the block etc.

That’s because NUMBER ONE of the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People is to do what’s in your CIRLCE OF INFLUENCE and let go of all the other stuff we worry about but have no control over.

Stephen Covey reckons that taking any kind of action makes us feel better and more powerful which has ramifications across all areas of our life. Sticking to our commitments also has the same effect. If we do what we say we’ll do, no matter how hard or inconvenient it is, we show ourselves and others that we can do anything.

Let’s do it.

Have a lovely weekend, I think you’re all fabulous.

Mxx
